How it works

Workflow is triggered when a contract record in LawVu changes its lifecycle stage.

Retrieve information about the contract record.

Evaluate a condition: if the contract’s lifecycle stage is not set to “executed,” terminate the workflow. Otherwise, proceed.

Post a message in a specific Slack channel containing details about the executed contract record.

(Optional) Add a status message to the LawVu contract record to confirm that the automation has notified the Slack channel about the contract’s execution.

To use this template, you must make one change.
Modifying the template
Required:
Set the channel ID where the notification message should be posted.
Optional:
Modify the message format in the action that posts the message.
Adjust the status message posted to the contract after the flow is successfully completed. This is the final action in the flow and acts as a notice on the contract record in LawVu confirming the message has been sent to Slack.
Refine the flow condition that checks if the contract has moved to the Executed lifecycle stage. Option to include additional conditions to account for other characteristics, such as contract type, dollar value, or if the lifecycle stage changes to Out for Signing, to trigger notifications for a specific audience.
Other flows to combine with this flow
Consider a flow triggered by the creation of a new contract record (with the condition that the lifecycle stage is Executed). This ensures that contracts uploaded directly into the executed lifecycle stage are captured. Note: this flow is only triggered by lifecycle stage changes on existing contract records.
